Uno Helmersson

Composer: The Bridge

Uno Helmersson is an award-winning Swedish composer and multi-instrumentalist whose credits include the worldwide hit TV series The Bridge, which was broadcast in more than 100 territories and won him a Golden FIPA Award.

Awarded and nominated for his music, with over 80 composer credits on IMDB and more than 600 registered compositions on his rights society, he is among the top composers for film in the northern part of Europe.

Uno’s recent work continues to cement his reputation as a master of musical storytelling. He composed the score for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival premiere and Netflix acquisition "The Remarkable Life of Ibelin," the documentary "Antidote" (2024), and the Netflix drama "Let Go" (2024). His 2025 projects include the documentaries "The Helsinki Effect" and "Paria." Most recently, Uno composed the music for the 2026 Netflix project "One Last Adventure: The Making Of Stranger Things 5" and the documentary "Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare" (2026). These additions join his established contributions to Netflix hits such as "A Nearly Normal Family," "Chernobyl: The Lost Tapes," and "Eldorado - Everything the Nazis Hate."
A highlight of his career, Uno's score for the Oscar-nominated animated documentary "Flee" received the prestigious Bodil Award from the Danish Film Academy. His extensive filmography includes compelling projects such as the TV series "22. Juli," the insightful BBC documentary "Riots," the impactful "On The President's Orders," the acclaimed "The Painter and the Thief," and the Oscar-nominated film "A House Made of Splinters."

Other major credits include the Emmy-winning Armadillo documentary, Magnus about the life of Norway’s “Mozart of Chess”, Mikkei Norgaard’s The Absent One, one of Zentropa’s Department Q film series.
