Attique Iqbal

Attique Iqbal is a versatile media professional and proud member of SONA, the Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL), the Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS), and the Television Academy. He is recognized for his contributions to both sports broadcast production and the music industry.

Attique’s early love for sports and his experience working in sports and sports media led him to pursue a career in music, where he could combine his passions.

His professional journey began in 2002 with freelance roles at CBS Sports and FOX Sports, which eventually led him to the NFL in 2006 working as a ticker producer, graphics coordinator and highlight producer, contributing to features, season previews, and show opens for the media group where he developed a deep understanding of how music enhances sports storytelling.

In 2012, Attique created the 'Music Coordinator' role and Los Angeles music department to take on and further develop. Attique has overseen music reporting for nearly all NFL Media Platforms, helping curate and select music for various NFL Media shows and content and developing strong, long-lasting relationships with labels,artists and publishers.

Currently serving as the Senior Music Coordinator at NFL Media, Attique oversees music reporting across all NFL platforms, helps curate music for a wide range of NFL Network shows and digital content, and fosters strong relationships with artists, labels, and industry partners.

Beyond his work in broadcast, Attique channels his creativity as a songwriter. Since November 1, 2021, he has released original music under The Attique Iqbal Project, blending his industry insights with his artistic vision.

Some of Attique’ s most memorable career highlights are working several Super Bowls, Final Fours, and meeting his childhood hero, Muhammad Ali, and, both literally and figuratively, finding his “North Star.”
