Dave Warren

Dave Warren is a versatile composer and multi-instrumentalist for film, television, commercials and games. He is known for seamlessly blending classic and contemporary influences to create fresh, emotionally compelling scores.

Dave’s notable credits include original music for ABC television affiliate KGTV, where he was contracted to score a news theme and promotional music, as well as compositions for Minnesota Public Television. In October 2024, he composed music for LEGOLAND, further showcasing his versatility in creating engaging and immersive soundscapes for diverse audiences and experiences.

Dave holds a Master’s Degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, which he completed in December 2024. As part of this prestigious program, he had the opportunity to re-score a DreamWorks Animation episode, featuring a live orchestral recording session at Nashville’s renowned Ocean Way Studios, utilizing strings and woodwinds to bring his composition to life. He previously studied at the UCLA Extension Film Scoring Program, focusing on composition and instrumentation.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Dave is proficient in guitar and piano, bringing a deep understanding of musical performance that allows him to create authentic and expressive compositions across multiple genres. He has performed extensively in Southern California as both a band leader and supporting musician, covering styles such as jazz, funk, acoustic, and popular music. He has also been contracted to perform at SeaWorld San Diego. Dave was a featured artist on KSDS Jazz 88 for his first solo release, FunPlay.

In addition to his work as a composer, Dave has a strong background in filmmaking, design, and broadcast media. He received an Emmy nomination for his work as a broadcast designer at KGTV-ABC. His expertise extends to music licensing, legal matters and press materials, making him a well-rounded professional in the industry. Dave previously acted as a composer assistant for Joey Newman in Los Angeles while he worked on a Peacock documentary and a Hallmark feature film.

He is a perceptive and resourceful composer who understands the delicate balance of supporting a story through music while respecting the filmmaker’s vision.
