Deana Kiner

Deana Kiner is a Los Angeles-based composer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who collaborates
with her father Kevin Kiner and brother Sean Kiner. Her work is defined by a commitment to organic,
human-centered sound, often blending traditional orchestration with unconventional instruments and
textures. She is a frequent collaborator with Oscar-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla, who
introduced her to a wide range of Latin American instruments and experimental techniques.
Deana has contributed to a number of high-profile scores, including Ahsoka—the live-action Star Wars
series on Disney+—as well as Dark Winds, Doom Patrol, Titans, The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Rebels, and
Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Her instrumental versatility and textural intuition have become integral to
the sound of these emotionally rich, genre-spanning series.
