JIMIJAME$

Composer: Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black (Netflix) and Duplicity (Amazon), Parish (AMC)

JIMIJAME$ is a genre-defying composer and creative visionary whose work bridges music, television, film, and fashion. As Co-Founder and Director of Creative at Boss Academy Inc., she takes a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling while crafting soundscapes that are as emotionally resonant as they are sonically bold. Her BFA in acting and directing brings a cinematic sensibility that’s core to her process, allowing her to compose music that enhances mood, tone, and narrative.

LA native and singer-songwriter JIMIJAME$ has also made her mark as a solo artist. Her viral track “Bullshit or Worry” has racked up 2 million streams across platforms. She continues to release genre-blending music—including her latest single, “Met Gala,” a lush and provocative track that channels glamor, expression, and quiet rebellion.

Her songs have appeared in popular series like All American, Queen Sugar, Kung Fu, Black Lightning, Selling Sunset, and more. She’s known for her distinct melodies and immersive songwriting—evident in her album Oceans and Waves along with singles like “Brazil,” “Lover$ Score,” and “No Time.”

In the world of film and television, JIMIJAME$ and her longtime creative partner, Boss Academy co-founder WOW JONES, have quickly become standout composers. Their recent scores include AMC’s Parish and Netflix’s top-ranking series Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black. Together, the duo brings an artist-first sensibility to every project, earning a reputation for elevating storylines. Their scores are layered, cinematic, and stylistically fluid, marked by progressive synths, evocative piano themes, and ambient design. JIMIJAME$’s original vocal track “Golden Offer,” featured in Parish, is a slow-burning jazz ballad that showcases her versatility as both composer and performer.

Her creative synergy with WOW JONES is central to their impact. An award-winning music director, producer, and musician, JONES is celebrated across genres for his adaptability and high-level execution. With a résumé that includes work with Usher, JoJo, Post Malone, Janelle Monáe, Rihanna, and more, JONES has directed major tours, won top honors from Billboard and Pollstar, and contributed to global productions like the Grammys, Super Bowl, and American Music Awards. His deep-rooted knowledge of performance and production, combined with JIMIJAME$'s storytelling instincts and sonic curiosity, make them an exceptional team—equal parts technical and intuitive, disciplined and daring.

Beyond composing, JIMIJAME$ is deeply committed to empowering independent artists through licensing, playlist curation, and music supervision. For Craig Gillespie’s Dumb Money, she secured a feature and soundtrack placement for artist Kay Ro$e. She also co-wrote, co-produced, and performed end-title songs “Bad Blood” and “PayDay” (featuring The Lady of Rage) for Tyler Perry’s Duplicity.

Whether scoring high-stakes drama or culturally-driven content, JIMIJAME$ shows up with intention and bold creative vision.
