Neusha Taherian

Composer, Elevation

Neusha Taherian is a composer, musician, multi-instrumentalist, and classical trained pianist from Montreal, Quebec. Her expertise allows her to listen to all music with a keen eye, but she mainly specializes in electronic works, contemporary music, and soundtracks.

Among some of her applications and background include deep-listening practices, acting, directing, graphic scores, and traditional Irish Music. She has a college diploma from John Abbott College in theatre, film, and communications. She also has a bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Music Composition from Concordia University, and a masters of Fine Arts in Music Composition for the Screen at Columbia College Chicago.

Her experience includes working as a Composer on the Fantasia Festival 2021 official selection animated short Inner Path by Camille Verrault. She has also worked as a composer in Residence in 2020 for Choeur Adleisia; as a composer and pianist at the Short Works Festival 2019 for the play To Kill a Sacred Duck; as well as a musical composer and director for Project AlienCat, featuring Slaying in Suburbia at the Montreal Fringe Festival 2018.

She currently works as part of H. Scott Salina’s team. Recent credits include Elevation starring Anthony Mackie and the Netflix documentary This Is The Zodiac Speaking.
