Nikhil Koparkar

Nikhil Koparkar is an award-winning composer and performing artist who creates original scores and songs for film, television, and games. Most recently, he composed "The Hills of Tanchico", a musical number featured in Season 3 of Amazon’s The Wheel of Time and performed by the main cast. The song quickly became a fan favorite, earning coverage from Collider, generating over 600K digital streams, and surpassing 1.5 million views on TikTok through UGC fan content. He is also the composer of the 2024 psychological horror film Dead Whisper, which was named one of Collider’s “Best Horror Movies Releasing July 2024”, and appeared on the Apple TV Horror Charts.

In 2023, Nikhil wrote the official main theme for Riot Games’ League of Legends Lunar New Year campaign—a track used in-game, across promotional content, and as a foundation for additional compositions.

Previously, he worked as an additional composer alongside Lorne Balfe at 14th Street Music, contributing to projects such as Netflix’s Life On Our Planet, Amazon’s The Wheel of Time, HBO’s His Dark Materials, and the Hulu docuseries Victoria’s Secret: Angels & Demons.

Nikhil also collaborates with Joy Music House on score production, most notably supporting the Oscar-nominated score to A24’s Minari and the Apple TV+ series, The Secret Life Of Animals for composer Kyle Rodriguez.

A specialist in fusing global instrumentation with a modern cinematic language, Nikhil was invited to present a Talks at Google in 2019.

As a touring performing artist, his genre-bending albums blend orchestral storytelling with global pop influences. His music has been featured in The Huffington Post, Music Connection, AXS.com, and earned a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nomination in 2018.
