ABOUT
Bernd Mazagg joined Vienna Symphonic Library in 1999 and developed his
expertise over many years of recording sample libraries and orchestral productions.
In 2013, VSL founder Herbert Tucmandl invited him to help establish a dedicated
scoring stage in Vienna, which became Vienna Synchron Stage.
The project involved collaboration with partners in acoustic design and studio
technology, including WSDG, Team Löffler, ADAM Audio, SSL, and a range of
microphone manufacturers.
In 10 years of recording at Vienna Synchron Stage, Bernd had the pleasure of
working with Michael Abels, Lorne Balfe, Chris Beck, Mychael Danna, Anne-Kathrin
Dern, Harry Gregson-Williams, Rupert Gregson-Williams, Gordy Haab, Natalie Holt,
Laura Karpman, Bear McCreary, John Murphy, John Paesano, Dave Porter, Howard
Shore, The Newton Brothers, Hans Zimmer, and many more.
He continues to record and mix at Vienna Synchron Stage and values the
opportunity to work in an internationally recognized recording facility.
