

Claudia Medina
Composer: "Trova", "Musings" and Founder of "From Peru to the World"

Claudia Medina is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist, composer, and music producer. Medina is currently working on her debut solo album, following shared performances with Grammy Award-winning artists including Aida Cuevas, Eva Ayllón, Paquito D'Rivera, Berta Rojas, Susana Baca, and Greg Phillinganes (keyboardist for Michael Jackson).
The first female Peruvian instrumentalist to earn a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Medina is committed to spreading musical knowledge and education through her educational program From Peru to the World. Claudia Medina's Peruvian Project, led by Medina, has toured internationally. Medina opened for the Twin Cities Jazz Festival in 2024. Her accomplishments at Berklee include serving as musical director for the Idolos Latinos shows in 2018 and 2020, and leading her jazz quartet on a Peruvian tour at the invitation of the U.S. Embassy.
Medina's Hollywood career as a film and television composer and sound designer includes credits on films such as Trova, which debuted at the Beverly Hills Film Festival 2026 at the TCL Chinese Theatre; Musings, selected for the LALIFF Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and premiering at the Chinese Theatre in May 2026; and Morpheus, an award-winning film at the North Star Film Festival. Throughout her career, she has also earned a TUMI USA Award and the Inspirational Woman Award for Outstanding Artists from Latina Center MARIA.
