Dawn Wisner-Johnson

Dawn Wisner-Johnson has been a professional in the Entertainment/Music industry for
over 20 years. She works as publishing administrator for international recording
artist/producer, RedOne and his label, RedOne Productions, LLC. Dawn’s experience in
the music industry is extensive and varied, including a decade at ABC Television where she
helped create a successful in-house music library for use throughout the Disney/ABC
brand. Dawn started out in her early years performing and touring in bands, Crumbacher
and Almost Ugly, which helped set her on her journey to working in the field.
Take 2 Productions, a company headed up by Dawn and her sister, Beth Wisner-Jahnsen,
was launched in 2007. Together, they continue to assist multiple artists/ songwriters in
bridging the gap between art and commerce. Securing sync licenses, helping navigate
through publishing deals, production for music/video, and artist management are just
some of the successes they have had.
Dawn and Beth launched their company, “A Matter of Music”, in 2020, bringing their years
of experience in new ways to further help artists, songwriters, composers navigate the
business of music. Thru their informative podcast, weekly listening sessions (Lunch &
Listen), consulting, sync library, and artist management, they continue to help artists work
towards their goals.
The last three years, A Matter of Music, has been focusing on Music Supervision. They are
enjoying helping clients and artists secure sync placements in their projects. Dawn has
always loved supervising, working early on with producers and editors at ABC on show
soundtracks. They have several film projects in the works including their newest horror
film, Scissor Mouth which is filming in the fall and releasing in 2027.
Dawn is a California native, who grew up in several different countries, and considers
herself a thriving third culture kid (TCK). She enjoys spending time with her family, the
culture and music of Los Angeles, and LA’s sports teams, Dodgers and Chargers.
