Emmy-nominated composer for Disney, Netflix, and award-winning game scores.

Greg Nicolett, a native of New England, studied at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor under composers Erik Santos and Susan Botti, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition. One of the last students of legendary Disney composer Buddy Baker (The Fox and the Hound) and an apprentice to Emmy-winning composer Brian Keane (The Chieftains), Greg moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue work as a film composer, where a fortuitous collaboration with Shia LaBeouf led to scoring several Disney animated series (Goldie and Bear, T.O.T.S., Puppy Dog Pals, Pupstruction). His most recent project, an orchestral score for Netflix's adaptation of Dr. Seuss's The Sneetches, earned him a 2026 SCL nomination for the David Raksin Award for Emerging Talent. Current projects include the animated series Talon and the horror feature Dead of Night. Greg is also active in the gaming space; his score for the video game Potionomics featured over 80 musicians and soloists, and received nominations from GANG, the World Soundtrack Awards, and the HMMAs. Other notable projects include the HBO Short Film Award winner Muted (American Black Film Festival), the Sundance film Above and Beneath, and the WWII drama Enemy No More, which earned five Best Score awards during its festival run. Greg is a frequent guest lecturer in the field of film and game composition, and resides in Los Angeles with his wife and son.
