Lava Hong

Music Supervisor at Riot Games

Lava Hong is an LA-based music supervisor, artist, and mentor working across trailers, gaming, film, television, and interactive media. She currently serves as Music Supervisor at Riot Games, working on music supervision and creative strategy across international campaigns and media projects.
Before joining Riot, Lava built her foundation in the trailer world, focusing on creative marketing. She supported music supervision, licensing, and placements for campaigns including Oppenheimer, Wicked, Wednesday, Furiosa, Mufasa, Stranger Things, and 3 Body Problem.

Beyond her supervision work, Lava is also an active mentor and educator, sharing practical insight into music supervision, sync, artist development, and career-building in the entertainment industry. Her mentorship work focuses on helping emerging creatives understand both the creative and business sides of music, from storytelling and taste development to rights, pitching, and professional positioning.

As an artist, singer-songwriter, composer, and vocalist, Lava has earned over 1 million global streams and has built a body of work shaped by emotional writing, cinematic instincts, and close collaboration across genres. Her music moves between artist releases, vocal features, composition, and collaborative projects, with recent work leaning further into electronic pop, dance textures, and sync-facing composition.

She is currently developing H.UI, pronounced Who-Ey, as a more intimate bilingual songwriter project centred on piano, voice, language, and melody. Blending Eastern and Western musical influences, H.UI highlights the more romantic and lyric-led side of her writing, with production serving the emotional landscape rather than driving it.
