Michael Dean Parsons

Emmy-nominated composer: Spider Noir, Bridgerton,

Michael Dean Parsons is an Emmy-nominated composer whose acclaimed work spans major film and television productions as well as contemporary classical music.



Upcoming, he co-composed the score for the highly-anticipated series, SPIDER-NOIR with frequent collaborator Kris Bowers. Starring Nicolas Cage, the live-action series will broadcast on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25 and on Prime Video on May 27.



Working across film, he co-composed the score for David Yates’s PAIN HUSTLERS, starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, alongside James Newton Howard, scored Takashi Doscher’s ONLY, and contributed music to the Academy-Award nominated score for THE WILD ROBOT, THE LOST BUS, and KING RICHARD. He served as score producer on major films such as THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES and FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE.



In television, he scored GOLD & GREED: THE HUNT FOR FENN’S TREASURE, season 2 of LIGHT & MAGIC, and composed additional music for hit series including QUEEN CHARLOTTE, SECRET INVASION, and BRIDGERTON, which he wrote the main title theme for with Bowers, earning them a Primetime Emmy Nomination.



Beyond film and television, his contemporary classical compositions have been performed by the New York Philharmonic and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, at venues including David Geffen Hall and Carnegie Hall. A graduate of The Juilliard School, he studied with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Christopher Rouse.
