Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum

Grammy Award-winning Composer, Big Mistakes

Juilliard-trained Grammy Award-winning composer Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (born New York City) collaborates with adventurous musicians and radical filmmakers on music for film, television and the concert hall. Her film and television scores include Dan Levy’s Big Mistakes with Peaches for Netflix, Catherine Hardwicke’s Don’t Look Deeper, Prisoner’s Daughter, and Tell It Like A Woman, Bird Karma for Dreamworks Animation, Champaign ILL with PJ Morton for Sony, Grand-Daddy Day Care, Delicious Little Devil, Saoirse Ronan’s Stockholm Pennsylvania, Lena Dunham’s Lenny, Powerless, and Samantha Soule and Daniel Talbott’s Midday Black Midnight Blue. Her co-scores of Marvel’s What If and Zombies with her wife, composer Laura Karpman, have received critical acclaim. Together they also co-scored Half The Picture premiering at Sundance, The Cinema Travelers premiering at Cannes, Nancy Kates’ Regarding Susan Sontag for HBO, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame for Universal. She score produced the first season of Issa Rae’s Insecure. Nora has received concert music commissions from the London Symphony Chorus, San Francisco Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Young People's Chorus of New York City, and Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music. Nora serves as an advisor at the Sundance Institute and gives frequent masterclasses for YoungArts.
