Sean Callery

Emmy-winning composer of 24, Jessica Jones, Homeland and The Beast In Me

Sean Callery has composed scores for some of television’s most celebrated series over the course of his 28-year career, earning 17 Emmy nominations and four wins, making him one of the most nominated composers in the Academy’s history. He first gained widespread recognition with his groundbreaking score for 24, which earned multiple Emmy Awards and helped redefine the musical language of serialized television drama. Throughout his career, Callery has gone on to score numerous hit series, including Homeland, Halo, Jessica Jones, Elementary, Bones, Designated Survivor and Accused. His work also extends to feature films, including the Liam Neeson thriller The Marksman. Most recently, Callery completed work on hit Netflix series The Beast in Me, co-composing the score with his fellow colleagues Sara Barone and Tim Callobre. Callery was recently elected as co-governor of the Television Academy’s Music Branch.
