Songwriter and Vocalist, “Wish That You Were Me” from Only Murders in the Building

Sophie Rose is an artist, writer and producer whose work spans many genres and mediums. Signed to Prescription Songs and Ester Dean since the age of 14, Sophie has been devoted to her craft from a young age. Around the time of her signing, Sophie decided to learn how to produce as well as write. She quickly landed a MasterCard commercial using a song she wrote and produced herself when she was 14 years old.
In the film and TV world, Sophie’s work includes co writing the single “Ugly” by Anitta for the UglyDolls movie soundtrack, the theme song for Guidance on Hulu, Martina McBride’s “Girls Like Me” from Songland, “When I’m Crying” by Megan McKenna performed on X Factor, as well as multiple songs featured on Catfishon MTV. Most recently, she co wrote “Wish That You Were Me,” sung by Beanie Feldstein and featured throughout the current season of Only Murders In The Building.
Recently, Sophie also co wrote “BLACKHOLE” by IVE, which was the #1 music video on YouTube the day of its release, “Wrong Way” by Two Friends and Alexander Stewart, which reached #1 at dance radio, five songs on Natalie Jane’s debut album, and two songs on Jessica Baio’s debut album.
As an artist, Sophie has released three solo EPs and many collaborations. At the age of 17, she wrote and produced her debut single “Two Young Lovers,” which debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday before being added to Taylor Swift’s Favorite Songs playlist. Her first collaboration, “Limitless” with Sam F, reached #2 at Dance Radio and #9 on the Billboard Dance Mix Show/Airplay Chart and secured a major sync in the Samsung Galaxy S8 campaign. She is currently working on new music for herself as well as writing and producing for others.
