Thomas Mikusz

White Bear PR

Thomas Mikusz is an award-winning publicist and co-founder of White Bear PR, specializing in high-impact campaigns for composers, songwriters, and music-driven storytelling across film, television, and video games.

At the heart of his work is a deep belief in music as emotional storytelling—and in the power of shaping how those stories are seen, heard, and remembered. Since founding White Bear PR in 2011, Thomas has led numerous high-profile awards campaigns, including for Clément Ducol & Camille (Emilia Pérez), Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front), Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl), Germaine Franco (Encanto), and Carlos Rafael Rivera (The Queen’s Gambit, Lessons in Chemistry). He has also contributed to campaigns for Academy Award–nominated music from Everything Everywhere All at Once, as well as award-winning songs from Barbie (What Was I Made For) and Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (Husavik). Most recently, he worked on Oscar campaigns in the music categories for Sinners and One Battle After Another.

His client roster includes leading composers such as David Fleming, Dan Romer, Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, Pinar Toprak, Benjamin Wallfisch, and Anthony Willis, as well as organizations including Electronic Arts and The Guild of Music Supervisors.

His journey has been anything but linear—from early days in Vienna, to traveling the world as a flight attendant, to leading teams in the travel and entertainment industries, and ultimately to shaping award campaigns at the highest level of the film and music world. This diverse path informs his ability to connect across cultures, translate creative vision into narrative, and advocate for artists with both strategy and intuition.

For seven years, Thomas served in a leadership role with the Alliance for Women Film Composers, helping to amplify and support the work of women composers across the industry.

He is passionate about storytelling, creative collaboration, and building meaningful community within the global music and film landscape—creating spaces where artists feel seen, supported, and inspired. Outside of his professional work, he finds grounding in nature, travel, and the quiet moments where new ideas begin to take shape.
