2025 Hollywood Music in Media Awards™ Nominations: Spotlight Our Night Temple Community

The 2025 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) nominations are officially live, celebrating outstanding achievements across film, TV, video games, commercials, and more. As the first organization to honor original music in all visual media, HMMA has long been a leader for the industry’s most respected awards. This year, we’re especially proud to highlight several composers and songwriters from the Night Temple community whose work earned well-deserved recognition.


Nominees to Watch


Jen Malone – Music Supervision – TV Show / Limited SeriesJen, the Music In Visual Media panalist earned a nomination for her supervision work on Wednesday, alongside Nicole Weisberg. Her keen ear for curating music that amplifies storytelling continues to inspire our community.


Oscar Pan – Score – Short Film (Documentary), Oscar is nominated for Cindy Tran: From Here to Here, showcasing his elegant, emotive approach to documentary scoring. His work demonstrates both precision and expressive creativity.


Kyle Simpson – Score – Short Film (Live Action), Kyle’s nomination for How to Drag a Body highlights his skill in crafting intimate, dynamic scores for short films, a space where innovation and experimentation thrive.


Gordy Haab – Score – Sci-Fi / Fantasy Film, Gordy’s work on Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force earned him recognition in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, underlining his mastery in epic and immersive orchestral storytelling.


Duncan Thum & David Bertok – Score – Documentary Series (TV / Digital), This duo, nominated for their work on Chef’s Table: Legends, brings a cinematic sensibility to documentary storytelling, blending narrative and emotion through music.


Nikhil Koparkar – Song – Onscreen Performance (TV Show / Limited Series), Nikhil’s performance of “The Hills of Tanchico” for The Wheel of Time earned a nomination for Onscreen Performance, celebrating his dual talents as composer and performer.

As HMMA continues to spotlight original music in all visual media, these nominations reinforce the visibility of emerging and independent talent on a global stage. We’re proud to cheer on our Night Temple collaborators as they gain the recognition they deserve, not only for technical skill, but for their artistic vision and innovation.


The 2025 HMMA ceremony is scheduled for November 19, 2025, promising live performances, celebrity presenters, and tributes to music industry icons. Whether these nominees take home awards or not, their work represents the best of what contemporary visual media music can offer.
