C.O.F.F.I.N. (Children of Finland Fighting in Norway) have a new single and a whole new album to present. The single is "Think Bad," and the album is "Out in Oslo," their sixth studio album, set to be released September 18th via p(doom). records.
"Think Bad" is out today on worldwide streaming platforms, and in the track C.O.F.F.I.N. takes a new path in rock 'n' roll, away from the frantic wall-of-sound intensity of their previous work, and going for something with more of a groove and a ZZ Top bravado.
Ben Portnoy, the band's drummer and lead vocalist, describes the track as follows:
“Think Bad describes the use of negativity to fuel forward motion. It's about using hard thoughts as a compass, reminding yourself that not everything that feels good is good for you, while at the same time, understanding that the combined weight of cynicism and reckless behaviour can make the greatest losses.”
The track's music video finds the band showing their playful side, goofing off at an amusement park with an old-school, grainy VHS filming style.
