"Hacks" Soundtrack Release (Seasons 2-5), From Emmy-Winner Carlos Rafael Rivera and Co-Composer David Stal

When legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is forced to team up with the outspoken and outcast television writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) to reinvent her act, the unlikely pair must overcome their differences to save their careers.

In Season 5, after false reports mistakenly announce Deborah's death, she and Ava return to Las Vegas determined to cement Deborah's legacy as one of comedy's greatest performers.

Carlos Rafael Rivera is a Grammy and three-time Emmy-winning composer, having written scores for some of the most critically-acclaimed works in recent years. His narrative-first

approach to scoring - writing music directly from screenplays - has allowed him to build incredible working relationships with filmmakers like Scott Frank, whose recent Netflix hit Department Q earned Rivera his sixth Emmy nomination.

David Stal is a Los Angeles-based composer with an accomplished body of work across prestige television, indie film, and other high-profile collaborations. A graduate of USC’s Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television graduate program, first built his compositional career writing additional music for composers like John Frizzell, Michael Kramer and Carlos Rafael Rivera. His time with these mentors allowed David to hone his craft and develop an incredible sense of storytelling and an original, captivating musical sound.
