On June 15, stalwart producer/songwriter E. Lundquist released the second single from his coming record, "Let Me Down Easy." With a feature by vocalist Taylor Williams, the single is smooth and slick but emotionally authentic - an R&B songwriter's take on dealing with a broken heart.

Available now on KingUnderground, "Let Me Down Easy" transports the listener into rich emotions and lush sonic textures, led by Taylor Williams and his soulful lead vocal. Just like "My Wings," the album's first single, this track is a blend of traditional R&B and IDM - a unique blend that still finds its footing with any audience.
Listen to "Let Me Down Easy" and feel the weight lift off your shoulders - the soothing track, with its otherworldly beat and jaw-dropping vocal, is the perfect statement of the vibe E. Lundquist is creating with his upcoming album. E. Lundquist and Taylor Williams used their mutual love of Prince to create this track, and The Purple One's influence can be heard throughout.

"Let Me Down Easy" has the heart of an old-school soul track beating underneath, and Taylor Williams' performance puts that heart into every word he sings. E. Lundquist describes that track as "timeless: it's a love scene, it's heartbreak, it's a plea for gentleness, it's a tender cinematic montage."
E. Lundquist is the recording moniker of Los Angeles-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Eric Borders. Creating warm, cinematic music rooted in soul-jazz, funk, R&B, library music, and live-band grooves, Borders uses his pseudonym to tell a more personal story - the name E. Lundquist is a tribute to his family lineage. Blending 1970s film soundtracks, Rhodes-driven soul-jazz, and rich analogue synth textures, his music balances nostalgic influences with a contemporary sensibility.
