As the music world gears up for the 2026 Grammy Awards, one name once again rises unmistakably to the forefront: Rogét Chahayed. A superproducer, composer, and pianist whose influence spans genres and generations, Rogét enters this year’s awards season with an astounding five nominations, marking yet another milestone in a career defined by artistry, innovation, and undeniable impact.
Five Nominations, Two of the Biggest Categories in Music
Leading his nominations are two of the most prestigious categories of the night: Song of the Year and Record of the Year for the global phenomenon “APT” performed by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars. The track, already one of the most talked-about songs of the year, also secured a nod for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, reinforcing its cultural and sonic reach.
But Rogét’s achievements don’t stop there. His versatility continues to shine through with nominations for:
Best Progressive R&B Album for FLO – Access All Areas
Best Contemporary Christian Album for Lecrae – Reconstruction
A Legacy of Excellence
This is far from Rogét’s first brush with Grammy recognition. His past nominations include:
Album of the Year for Doja Cat – Planet Her and Mary J. Blige – Good Morning Gorgeous
Best Rap Album for Jack Harlow – Come Home the Kids Miss You
Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, one of the most coveted honors for any music creator
Turn on the radio, and chances are you’ll hear something touched by Rogét, whether it’s the chart-topping “Broccoli” by DRAM, the cultural juggernaut “SICKO MODE” by Travis Scott, or Doja Cat’s infectious “Kiss Me More.”
This year, he also returned to his roots with his second solo piano release, “m o t i o n,” a meditative, expressive piece that showcases the depth of his artistry beyond the studio console.
A Virtuoso With a Producer’s Ear
What sets Rogét apart from so many of today’s hitmakers is simple: he’s a true piano virtuoso. Classically trained and steeped in jazz tradition, he bridges worlds with ease, channeling the riff-driven brilliance of Scott Storch, the emotional intelligence of Jon Batiste, and the improvisatory spirit of legends like Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, and Herbie Hancock.
Born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents from Damascus and Buenos Aires, Rogét grew up in the San Fernando Valley torn between two dreams: becoming a professional skateboarder and becoming a classical musician. Music ultimately won, taking him to the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music, from which he graduated in 2010.
After returning to L.A., he taught piano, gigged wherever possible, and slowly carved a path toward the deeply respected producer he is today.
Grounded in Family, Fueled by Community
Despite his global impact, Rogét remains grounded. When he’s not in the studio shaping the sound of modern music, you’ll often find him in the Valley spending time with his parents and younger sisters and enjoying his dad’s homemade shawarma and pizzas.
A Rising Legacy and a Continued Inspiration
At The Night Temple, we celebrate artists who push boundaries, build community, and create worlds through sound. Rogét Chahayed embodies that spirit wholeheartedly. His five Grammy nominations this year reflect not only extraordinary talent, but a relentless dedication to craft and creativity.
As we look toward the 2026 Grammys, one thing is clear: Rogét is continuing to shape the future of music. One song, one collaboration, and one unforgettable melody at a time.
