'007 First Light' Soundtrack Release, From Composing Duo The Flight

The Flight have released the soundtrack to "007 First Light," the new James Bond video game from IO Interactive. Available today via Milan Records, composers Joe Henson and Alexis Smith have crafted a score using the musical language of the most iconic spy franchise (and score) of all time- but have done so with the game's younger, untested version of Bond in mind. Rather than relying solely on familiar Bond motifs, the duo blends lush orchestral arrangements with modern electronic production, reflecting the game's reimagined origin story. The score unfolds alongside Bond's transformation from a 26-year-old Royal Navy air crewman into MI6's most iconic agent, balancing cinematic grandeur with the tension of espionage.

Ivor Novello Award-winning composers Joe Henson and Alexis Smith have worked together as The Flight since 2005. Over the past two decades, the duo have built a career spanning film, television, and video games, combining orchestral composition with electronic production across scores, songwriting, and record production.
Together as The Flight, they have scored a number of major video games, including "Alien: Isolation," "Assassin's Creed Odyssey," "Horizon Zero Dawn," "Horizon Forbidden West," and "Gotham Knights." Their work has also extended to television, with credits including Netflix's "Lockwood & Co.," the BAFTA-nominated BBC documentary series "Drugsland," and Channel 4's "Kids on the Edge." Working across games, film, and television since 2005, the pair have become known for blending orchestral and electronic composition, establishing The Flight as one of the medium's most prominent scoring duos.
Developed by IO Interactive, "007 First Light" is a third-person action-adventure game built around the studio's iconic stealth-action gameplay (well known to fans worldwide from the "Hitman" franchise). Players travel across sweeping international locations, and can complete missions through combat, deception, or diplomacy as Bond develops from a rookie into the 007 that audiences have loved for generations. The game is out now for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled to arrive later this summer. The soundtrack is available now via Milan Records on digital streaming platforms.
