A Night of Live Music, Great Food & Drinks to Support Immigrant Communities

Join us for Irresistible Resistance, a night dedicated to community, culture, and collective power. This event brings together live music, spoken word, and food to uplift immigrant-owned businesses in Los Angeles, especially those harmed by deportation raids and targeted enforcement.

Free Performance by San Cha

San Cha is a queer Latine musician and performance artist who blends 'novela' inspired storytelling with powerful themes of colonization, heartbreak, liberation, and healing. Her sound pulls from a wide spectrum of influences, from Catholic hymns and Mexican corridos to cumbias, punk queer electroclash, drag, and nightlife culture. For her, music is a personal and political vehicle to usher socio-political change and liberation.

San Cha has presented projects and performances with institutions including: Getty, LACMA, Performance Space New York, Denniston Hill, Ballroom Marfa, Hauser & Wirth, PICA’s TBA Festival, REDCAT, and more.

Why This Matters

Irresistible Resistance is a project of EP Extended Play, generously supported by The Robert Gore Rifkind Foundation. Each month, the series highlights artists and performers across Los Angeles in neighborhood spaces like restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping areas so Angelinos can show up for the communities that keep the city alive.

Support the neighborhood businesses that are the lifeblood of immigrant communities in LA. Your presence is a powerful act of solidarity.
