Flore Laurentienne Announces U.S. Tour Dates in Support of Volume III

Montreal-based project Flore Laurentienne, led by Mathieu David Gagnon, announces a new run of U.S. tour dates this summer, with performances scheduled in New York and California.

The shows mark the first opportunity for Stateside audiences to experience Volume III live, following its recent release via Secret City Records.

The upcoming U.S. dates follow an active touring cycle, including recent European performances and appearances at major festivals such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Ottawa Jazz Festival.

On stage, Flore Laurentienne expands into a full ensemble format, featuring Mathieu David Gagnon on Moog synthesizer alongside a string quartet, additional keyboardists, and percussion.

Previous U.S. appearances, including performances with William Basinski and Colin Stetson, as well as festival sets at Big Ears, introduced audiences to the project’s immersive and compositionally driven live approach.

With Volume III, Flore Laurentienne continues to develop a sound that bridges classical composition and electronic minimalism, drawing from influences such as Johann Sebastian Bach, King Crimson, and Hans-Joachim Roedelius.

The project’s growing presence extends beyond music, with collaborations including work with Moog synthesizers and placement in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2026 campaign.

Alongside international radio support from platforms such as KEXP and BBC Radio 6 Music, these developments further position Flore Laurentienne within the contemporary instrumental and experimental music landscape.

The upcoming U.S. tour marks a continued expansion for the project, bringing Volume III into a live context that emphasizes scale, texture, and ensemble interplay. With increasing international demand and a growing presence across both concert and cultural spaces, Flore Laurentienne continues to establish itself as a key voice in modern instrumental music.

Since its release, Volume III has received critical recognition across international outlets.

MOJO describes the album as balancing “ambient calm… to the feeling that nature is overwhelming,”

while Electronic Sound highlights its “thoughtful and naturalistic approach."

Similarly, PopMatters notes the project’s ability to merge analog and electronic elements into

“an experience that feels intimately familiar and personal yet contains the vastness of Earth’s beauty.”
