Introducing Tyler Spry: The Producer Behind Back-to-Back #1 Global Hits


Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Spry is having a defining moment, with two consecutive #1 records on the Billboard Hot 100.


This week, Spry celebrates back-to-back chart-topping success as co-producer and songwriter on BTS’s Swim” and Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” both of which have reached the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100.


BTS’s Swim” debuts at #1 across multiple major charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, and Billboard 200, while also reaching the top position on Spotify’s Global chart. On BTS’s latest album, Spry also produced “Please,” standing as the only track on the project with a solo producer.


Alongside this, Spry co-wrote and co-produced Bad Bunny’sDtMF,” which previously hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first all-Spanish solo single to reach the top of the chart.


Working across global pop, Latin, alternative, and electronic music, Tyler Spry has built a diverse and expansive catalog, collaborating with some of today’s most influential artists.

His credits include work with Tate McRae, OneRepublic, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Omar Apollo, and LATIN MAFIA, among others. Notable tracks include Tate McRae’s “exes” and “Just Keep Watching,” as well as Bad Bunny’s “KLOuFRENS.”


Originally rooted in punk and alternative bands, Tyler Spry developed his musical foundation, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Cure, David Bowie, and The Smiths.


He later transitioned into engineering and studio work, collaborating with acts like OneRepublic and U2. During this period, Ryan Tedder mentored Spry, helping shape his hands-on approach to songwriting, production, and recording.


Since then, Spry has become a key collaborator on major global releases, including Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, the Grammy Award–winning Album of the Year, where he co-produced and co-wrote “DtMF” and “KLOuFRENS.”


He also produced the lead single “Swim” for BTS’s latest release.
