January String Quintet Night at The Night Temple

The Night Temple begins the new year with a special String Quintet Night in January, gathering an inspiring group of composers for an intimate evening of music, community, and reflection in our Franklin Hills home. This month’s gathering is offered in honor of the life and legacy of David Lynch, marking one year since his passing, and celebrating the profound impact his work continues to have across film, music, and the arts.

The evening will feature performances by Owen Nathanael, Neusha Taherian, Sandro Morales-Santoro, and Geneviève Gros-Louis, alongside music from our hosts and resident house duo, Carisa Bianca Mellado & Andrew Dalziell. Each composer brings a distinct voice, creating a program that moves between textures, emotional landscapes, and sonic worlds, an approach deeply aligned with the spirit of artistic curiosity and exploration that Lynch championed throughout his life.

Honoring the Life and Legacy of David Lynch

David Lynch’s influence reaches far beyond cinema. As a filmmaker, painter, musician, and visionary, he transformed the way we experience storytelling, inviting audiences into worlds shaped by intuition, atmosphere, and the subconscious. His work encouraged artists to trust mystery over explanation, feeling over logic, and sound as a gateway to emotional truth. For composers and filmmakers alike, Lynch’s legacy remains a powerful reminder that art can be immersive, unsettling, beautiful, and deeply personal—all at once.

Beyond his artistic achievements, Lynch was a devoted advocate for creativity as a path to inner awareness and healing. Through his lifelong practice and teaching of transcendental meditation, he spoke often about stillness, presence, and the importance of listening inward. Honoring David Lynch on the one-year anniversary of his passing is both a tribute to his extraordinary body of work and to the way he lived: with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in art as a transformative force.

An Evening of Music, Food & Community

Guests are invited to arrive hungry, a warm Italian dinner will be served, along with drinks, non-alcoholic options, Euphoric Bliss tea, and snacks throughout the evening. As always, String Night is about more than the music itself; it is a shared experience of listening, conversation, and connection within a supportive creative community.

The evening will also include a special raffle, featuring generous prizes from our sponsors:
