Spotlight on Renata Vontobel

Renata Vontobel is an event production, administrative, and publicity professional currently working at The Night Temple, with expertise in music and visual media, social media strategy, and brand and influencer PR.

After graduating in Theater in 2022, she has appeared in multiple musical theater productions and expanded her acting career, including a voice acting role in the popular series "The Amazing Digital Circus", with nearly 400 million views world wide.

Originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil, she began as a singer-songwriter, releasing her debut single “Stellar” to critical recognition, and later earned a degree from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. Today, she combines her artistic background with her professional skills to shape a multifaceted career in the creative industry.

We've asked Renata a few questions about her career and relationship with The Night Temple:

How did you start your journey in the film/music world?

I started my journey in the music world very young, growing up in a musical family in Porto Alegre, Brazil. My uncle, drummer Michel Vontobel, introduced me to the industry and produced my first EP when I was just 13. That early start led me to pursue my own path as a singer-songwriter, releasing my debut single “Stellar”, which was well received and even featured during LA Fashion Week. In 2017, I moved to Los Angeles to study at Musicians Institute, and over time my artistic journey expanded into theater and acting. I graduated in Theater in 2022 and have since performed in several musical productions as well as a couple of indie films. More recently, I’ve also embraced the production and publicity side of the creative industry, currently working at The Night Temple and supporting events while continuing my artistic career.

Who or what are your biggest creative inspirations?

My biggest inspirations come from the music I grew up with, especially late 2000s pop and the storytelling of musical theater. Artists like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus had a huge influence on me, their music and presence shaped how I approach songwriting and performance. Musical theater and being a big television fan, on the other hand, inspired me to expand into acting and explore new creative directions. Beyond individual influences, I’m also driven by the sense of community in the creative world, collaborating and watching different talents come together to bring projects to life is something that constantly fuels me.

In your opinion, what is the best thing about being part of a creative community like The Night Temple?

For me, the best thing about being part of a creative community like The Night Temple is the way it makes everyone feel welcomed. It’s a space where people from different creative paths come together, exchange ideas, and celebrate each other’s work.
