Emmy-Nominated Composer Dan Romer Releases 'Little House on the Prairie' Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records

On July 10, 2026, Lakeshore Records announced the release of 'Little House on the Prairie - Soundtrack from the Netflix Series Season 1,' featuring an original score written by Dan Romer. The show's soundtrack combines orchestral music with traditional American instruments to create a classic sound and reflect the pioneering spirit of the new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder's classic books. Produced by CBS Studios, the series is showrun by Rebecca Sonnenshine, stars Alice Halsey and Luke Bracey, and is now streaming on Netflix.

The series reimagines the American classic 'Little House on the Prairie' as a blend of hopeful family drama, epic survival story, and an origin tale of the American West. Through the show, Netflix explores the challenges and achievements of frontier settlers through this fresh adaptation of Wilder's semi-autobiographical novels.

This soundtrack release comes just as Romer has received another Emmy nomination, this time for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) for 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.'
