Don’t Marry Him! SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN (SOUNDTRACK FROM THE NETFLIX SERIES), with music by award-winning composer and recording artist Colin Stetson (Hereditary, The Menu) is now available. Listen to the soundtrack digitally and with a limited edition vinyl pre-order available now.

Colin Stetson, a renowned saxophonist and composer from Ann Arbor, Michigan, is celebrated for his innovative techniques and contributions to contemporary music. Trained in classical and jazz under Donald Sinta and Christopher Creviston at the University of Michigan, Stetson employs extended techniques like circular breathing and multiphonics to transform the saxophone into a full ensemble. His solo recordings, such as the album "The love it took to leave you", demonstrate his skill in creating intricate soundscapes without overdubs or loops. He has collaborated with artists like Bon Iver and Arcade Fire and composed scores for films and TV series, including "Hereditary" and "The Menu." Stetson's exploration continues to redefine modern music, establishing him as a unique voice in contemporary composition and performance.
Showrunner and Creator Haley Z. Boston connected with Colin Stetson early in the process of creating the series and brought him on as the first creative hire. Driven by his unique sound, the score to the series is as unnerving as the plot itself.
COLIN STETSON mentions,
“This music ranges all over the place, from the dreadful to the tragic, the sexy to the unhinged and comedic. There are tracks here that thunder and howl like metal dirges and others like sorrowful lamentations, several are up tempo techno tracks weaving like a heist caper.”
If Carrie is the horrific version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary’s Baby is the horrific version of a woman becoming a mother, Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is the horrific version of a woman becoming a wife. Rachel (Camila Morrone) is set to marry in five days. She and her fiancé Nicky (Adam DiMarco) head to his family's secluded vacation home for their dream wedding. Which would be really so lovely. But... prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can't shake this relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen. Her foreboding doubts, coupled with eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question - what makes two people soulmates? Which forces you to ask the question - what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?
